Meet Whitney
When I left my big corporate job over a decade ago, I was just a little 20-something freelancer, out there hustling by helping mom and pops in Destin, Florida, with their marketing and PR. I became obsessed with helping small businesses win. There’s something so addicting about the challenge of taking limited resources and budgets and still making something happen. That hasn’t changed. Fast forward, that little freelance gig grew into an international PR firm, serving brands all over the world in the hospitality, travel, and tourism industry.
And while I’m honestly so grateful for the success that True Story PR has seen, my heart still hurts a little when a small business reaches out to us, needs our help, but doesn’t have the budget to invest in a full-service execution agency. Those small businesses are what makes America, America! And sure, it’s fun working with big brands and household names with massive budgets, but there’s something so special about working with other entrepreneurs. These businesses are their livelihood - their life’s work - and truly nothing brings me more joy than watching you win.
So I thought to myself - there has to be a way to help these small businesses. How could I help save them from the conundrum I see every small biz face - you don’t have the budget to hire a big agency, but a cost effective, entry-level assistant just requires too much babysitting and creates more work for you, and no measurable results.
